I was running with him in front of the whole lot taking some time to immerse myself in self dignity that I am running in the front.....slowing the inner voice started talking to me, "slow down you are running little faster" and I kept saying "keep following this guy, take deep breathe, calm down, keep going" but still I was getting tired with every step I was taking.. finally we three (athreya, jasmine and myself) got separated from the rest of the pack and one point decided to wait for them. there I introduced my to athreya and asked him "so are you running for this ultra marathon coming sunday" He replied "Yeah man, I will be doing 78 kms". and then it struck me that I am running with a guy who must have done lotsa full marathon and now doing 78 kms. worse I was trying to follow him with his pace. no wonder I was out of breathe :(
then and there I decided one day I will run like him and smiled at myself saying "yet another goal"
ultimately I decided to carry on with jas, finally reached back to starting point huffing and puffing....
with less than 40 days to train and with target completing 21 kms in less than 2 hrs seems tough... but it only makes my resolution stronger. :) next sunday 12 kms run.
verdict: GKVK rocks and I am sure I am going to lot of sunday runs at this place

mumbai marathon, I am running!!!

Hello All,
I am running for mumbai marathon on jan 20th. due to shortage of time, I have decided to run for half marathon and do it under 2 hrs. So the first task wast to get a new running shoes as the old faithful RBK shoes are completely worn off. So this time I took a advice of fellow runners and headed to buy adiprene supernova by adidas. and just to give myself the rocky balboa feel bought cap, sweat shirts and all. So today we (my flatmate jasmine shah) kick started practice for marathon. goal was to do 5 kms strech from cant railway station to mekhri circle and back. and we were on the roads by 5.35 am without any issues. I call it first day enthu. there is slight uphill and downhill along the course and whole lot of traffic.. all the while i was cursing traffic which was heavy at 5.30 am. (thought running in my mind "mar jaao kamino chain se duadne bhi nahi dete")
and we were back in 35 mins. in the end I was bit tired but totally worth. but wait a sec, I feel some uneasiness while walking. and as expected I can feel the blisters on right little finger. well I paid 4.5k for the shoes and still the same old story.
thats for day one.

masterji ki aa gayi chitti

Ride to Bheemeshwari

As luck would have it I visited Bheemeshwari this sunday! And what a experience it was.

We started planning a short riding with the initiative of my friend sonal. Every month or so she needs this "ride therapy" to keep her BP normal. In the end we become of group of six jolly person all set for ride. I was happy to see virat donning is new mafia look, meens actually coming for the ride itself meant that its a lucky day for us..also her friends, the two laurel hardy duo of sumo and gopal decided to join us.

We started around 7 from sonal's place, one hour later than scheduled 6 am. But when we have ladies in the group, it was a good start.
We took kanakapura road and it was lush green on both sides which really helped us to keep ourself cool. Expect for few bad patches, road was good. We stopped by in between to quench my thirst, I have this huge penchant for tender coconut water. There was had little chit chat and came to know more about laurel hardy. Our next stop was for breakfast at Kanakapura, then we started for serene mountain ride to bheemeshwari. The serpentine road really tested my driving skills since meens was my pillion. You see I really had to be careful since it was her first ride on the bike for such a long distance. and ofcourse all this while sonal was busy clicking photos through the ride and she really made the best use to scenic mountains and leafless trees :)

meens posing for a camera :)

finally we reached Bheemeshwari around 12 noon. All this while I used to think of bheemeshwari as a place where our mahabharata's bheem might have passed by and hence the name bheemeshwari. but one night prior to ride while was collecting info about this place I came to know that this place is named after the special fish variety named Bheemeshwari. But i was close with my logic, which is this particular fish are huge is size and so was bheem, so my guess is fish were named bheemeshwari "place where you find bheem size fish" gave up..

Anyways we proceeded to jungle resort Cauvery fishing camp where we came to know that a reservation is required without which you can't even park your vehicles inside the campus :P! and they were very keen on charging us, so after lot of fishy talk with the manager of the resort we were allowed to see the place free of charge given we dont use the facility which we eventually did.

We all unwinded near the bank of cauvery, gossipped for good 1 hr, and for some unusual reason meens was the target, sonal was still busy clicking snaps. I took a lesser known route in the quest of finding bheemeshwari fish. gopal and sumo were busy ripping on meens. it was so funny that in the end meens had to use stick to shut gopal. The place was so inviting for resting on hammocks that virat after putting up a brave fight to stay active gave up and slept off for good one hour.

Then we played frisbee for good one hour, where everybody mastered skills of how to throw frisbee. we were also accompanied by a chubby looking kid. meens was more interested in swings and singing songs. we were so noisy than we woke up virat with out noise, so he decided to join us finally it was 3.30 and we all decided to head back to home. as we were getting ready, clouds were building up and after 10 mins there was a huge overcast. sonal made a prophecy that i shall rain in 30 mins, and so it did leaving us stranded in the middle of the road. but with no place to hide we decided to continue our ride which was fun.
and from there it was one plain ride back home, in between we did stopped by a temple to thank god. back home it was all pizza and wine party.

I would like to thank laurel hardy duo of sumo and gopal, who kept the spirit of group high and alive. with there every smiling place and leg pulling attitude, i laughed for the whole day. and sonal virat and meens I hope we can few more places like this.

Route: Bangalore - Kanakpura - Sathanur (Take a left turn here) - Bheemeshwari
Distance: From sonal's place in Koramangala Bheemeshwari is around 100 kms.

Road condition: In general the road condition is good and the broken stretches are mostly repaired now. In another two three months good roads are expected. It must be bad in the other leagues then. Capello's signings have left little room for doubt as to his future vision, beefing up the defensive aspect of midfield with two strong but fairly unimaginative players in Emerson and Diarra, shoring up the back with the excellent Cannavaro, and putting faith in the different striking style of Van Nistlerooy to give back the club its competitive edge. With Beckham still not having signed the famous extension to the contract, Guti with a foot in Atlético Madrid all summer, Baptista halfway to White Hart Lane and Reyes looking more likely to move to the Calderón, the creative side of things was always likely to be the first victim.

It looks like Robinho will need to come of age this season (he started on the bench on Sunday), Raúl will need to do a bit of yoga and find the inner self again, and Ronaldo shed a few pounds and take things a tad more seriously. Unfortunately for Capello, the Brazilian is once again making contradictory noises, now saying that he's 'very happy' in Madrid, only five months after he claimed to be a miserable and misunderstood fellow, serially unloved by the bitchy Bernabéu. Maybe it's those legendary barbecues he doesn't want to have to forego, knowing, as he does, that Italians just don't party in the same way. Martini and a couple of olives sir? Do me a favore!

And speaking of things Italian, it was Cassano, last season's major disappointment, who came to the fore whilst all around were fumbling, turning in an excellent performance and earning a healthy round of applause from the yawning faithful as he made way for Guti in the 56th minute. But creativity is still not foremost in Capello's mind, as the latest gossip is that he's out to sign centre-back Ayala, who is currently in dispute with Valencia.

Express YourSelf!!!

Airtel’s tagline- EXPRESS YOURSELF is extremely well potrayed in all its ads. Their ads have truly matured to be at the level of platinum brilliance. Like all big firms, earlier Airtel ads used to focus on superstar. That was the herd mentality. Catch on a superstar’s popularity to sell yourself- it was spineless.

From Dil Ki Baat ad things have totally changed. While superstars still endorse Airtel, the focus have shifted to vibrating the innermost core of a viewer’s heart. In the Dil ki Baat commercial what worked like majic was the background narrations and apt models playing out a well planned scene. It was the first ad in the series which had no mention of the product itself. Everything was cute there: a little girl playing with a poorer girl, an old couple watching a young couple, a teacher ineracting flawlessly with her deaf student and finally a girl practicing gymnastics. Each clip by itself was satisfying.

That satisfaction has been carried several notches higher in this particular ad. The ad simply plays on the emotions. The motto is once again to ring the emotional bells of we sentimental Indians and it suceeds once again. This time we are shown a series of clips with a different narration for each. We see Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Winston Churchill, Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Dalai Lama, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, an old nun and Berlin Wall collapse. Each clip is an actual video of a moment that altered our history. The taglines with each clip are deeply touching. Sample this:
Churchill- Two can win a war
Sachin-One finger can break a billion hearts
King- One dream can change the world
Khan- Some can dissolve boundries
Lama-One whisper can inspire hope
Lata- One voice can move a nation
Berlin Wall collapse- One act of defiance can spark a revolution

At the end of it we hear the signature A R Rehman Airtel tune and many candles coming together to form a giant sign of peace. The final tagline is: That is the power of Human Expressions. It is so true. Expressions, open and subtle can change our lives forever. Airtel sells itself here via the tagline, not the product. Kudos to this gem of an ad!!

'Honour Killing' shames Pakistan, Basically Islam

I came across on article in newspaper jus blatently pasting it here!!!
Sources :ToI
Ayesha Baloch was dragged to a field, her brother-in-law held the 18-year-old down, her husband sat astride her legs and slit her upper lip and nostril with a knife.

They call such assaults on women a matter of 'honour' in some Pakistani communities, but for the majority it is a source of national shame. Married less than two months ago in Pakistan's central district of Dera Ghazi Khan, Baloch was accused of having sexual relations with another man before marriage.

"First they tortured me and beat me. I started screaming. Akbar then caught my hands and pulled me to the ground. Essa sat on my legs and cut my nose and lips," Baloch mumbled through her bandages at hospital in the city of Multan.

"I was bleeding and started screaming after they fled on a motorcycle. People heard me and rescued me and took me to my mother's home." At least she wasn't killed.

More than 1,000 women are slain by their husbands or relatives, and that is just the reported, not actual, number of 'honour killings' in Pakistan each year.

Many killings are planned rather than done in rage, and the motive often has more to do with money or settling scores. The same week, a world away from Baloch's village, social activists, parliamentarians and community leaders gathered in the suburban, leafy capital of Islamabad to launch a campaign — 'We Can End Honour Killing".

Farhana Faruqi Stocker, country director of international aid agency Oxfam, said some 10,000 people called "change-makers" had signed up so far. But Stocker knows two constituencies will be vital to the campaign's success.

"The mindset of legislators has to be changed in order for good legislation to come out," Stocker said. But she is well aware that there are many remote rural areas of Pakistan where maulvis, or clerics, exert more influence than local government and federal law. "In order to bring change, we have to engage with clerics." Pakistan is a country living in many centuries at once.
Its small, Westernized elite embrace the 21st, conservative clerics preach strict interpretations of Islam from the Middle Ages, while many of its poor rural communities are governed by tribal customs going back long before Islam arrived.

Honor killings are known as "karo-kari" killings. A woman is deemed a "black woman", a "kari", once she is accused of having sex outside of marriage and is liable to be killed. "Karo" is the male version.

The custom is rooted in tribalism, although a strict interpretation of Islam's hudood penal code also rules that adulterers should be stoned to death. A former president of Pakistan, Farooq Ahmed Leghari, comes from Dera Ghazi Khan.

He says it will take more than laws to change society there, or places like it. "To fight this menace you need social movements involving people from all segments of society," Leghari said after the launch of the campaign against 'honour killings'.

President Pervez Musharraf champions enlightenment, but critics say he has achieved little due to the influence of tribal chieftains, feudal lords and religious parties in parliament.

A law enacted last year set a minimum 10-year jail sentence for perpetrators of so-called honour killings. But rights lawyer Rashid Rehman said crimes are more often covered up by families, and police prefer not to get involved.

"Those arrested are often freed for lack of evidence or after reconciling with the victims' families, in most cases close relatives," he said.

While police have taken Ayesha Baloch's assailants into custody, along with their father who egged them on, she has low expectations of justice; "They are powerful people with money, and will get out on bail."

my personal comments:: wonder if people following Islam really have hearts, souls and more importantly brains, to see the flaw in the word "Allah"

Should Da Vinci code Movie be Banned!!

I guess it should be banned in this secular climate. It is fashionable and professional to demean the hinduism through standard text books, the hinduism has been given kicks by the secularists in power. If this damn movie releases, they will become vindicative and the leftists would arrest a hindu or write more venom about the hinduism and its history. Of course it is for the secularist to decide what is proper secularism.astonished well try decoding it, its not that difficult jus a sarcasm!!!

well coming to the point something which I fail to understand is that why are religious sects so insecure. If media does potray soemthing which is unreal, please make sure u use the media to say the right thing, but asking for a Ban for things, only makes it more popular. I thinks its hight time that our moral safekeepers grow up.This is what is called as "height of minority appeasement". Are the politicians keep away thier brains when they take over the job. The movie is written by a christian, directed and produced by a christian. But why on this earth one should ban the show in India. To the heights, Italy supposedly the heaven for Roman catholics didnt ban this movie but......

Advertisement for Christianity in Bollywood

Y’day I went to see one hindi movie and couldn’t help but notice one certain thing. Actually the whole dejavu thing occurred and that’s why remember this whole thing. Now you must be asking whats the “thing”. Well Lately the movies coming out of Bollywod have one thing very very peculiar.. they are showing a LOT of Christianity and churches back from the days of DDLJ, this symbols, western culture and all have created one niche.. but lately almost evey hindi movie I saw has all the hindu heros goto to church with his heroines to make a wish, lit a candle, pray confess.

well we always had Christianity where a cast member would be christian and that's that.. praying to virgin mary when the hero was shackled in the loin's den or when his mom was on the deathbed, but this is different.. it's like hmmm how should i put it.. an 'advertisement' for Christianity.. lots of church shots.. lots of prayer shots.. and other symbols deliberately inserted everywhere.. it these churches are really that scenic. The other trend is the 'commercial' one.. lots of western (actually American only) phrases, dresses, lingo culture embedded in the movie where it's not even needed.. and it's getting quite overt actually. I don’t know but I guess its to add the psuedo value to the character..if this particular guys goes to mandir he country gaon wala, in other case if he goes to chruch he is hep, totally psued. And the wearing of cross has become a fashion statement.

Guess in the movies most hindus are polytheists, and these people just add a couple more gods/saints to their circle of worship. mostly they attribute certain churches with certain powers (conceiving, relief from illness), and ritualize their worship with novena offerings and such.

anyone else notice it or i'm just watching Bollywood movies after a long time:P

Bangalore is Blog!!!

By now everyone must be aware of the sad news that revered kannada actor who is no more with us. Sad it is. But the series of incidents which I went through y’day does raised many issues. It all started with my teammate telling that he got a call from his friend asking him to leave early as there could be tension due rajkumar demise…
I immediately checked on of the news site and it confirmed the news telling that actor had died due to cardiac arrest.
So I told my teammate to relax since it was a natural death not a terrorist act. But it doesn’t end here with minutes even I got call from my roommates and friend asking to me to leave early for home. And with every single person who called I was left arguing why the hell there has to anger and violence over someone’s death. And as we all know there were spurts of violence across the city.
Whatever reason they tell us I won’t buy it. For me it was simple politically motivated or rather escalated scenes. I believe that revered rajkumar has huge fan following in this state and any politician who won’t speak for him will be a self proclaimed fool. Now with so my politician trying to make so many statement and trying to do so many things for please the sad public will obviously lead into confusion and hence violence.
Well you know y’day I got down from auto near my home and there were group of people who were forcing shopkeepers to close the shop. They had this yellow/red flag in front of their bikes which seems to make them omnipotent. Anyways what I noticed was there was not a trace of sadness in their faces, they were laughing, chewing gutkhas and seemed to be extremely happy with this act. Stupid SOB’s.

Now out of sheer jobless I am writing this. Why well the cable channels jus went off and when I called cable operator he replied “sir rajkumar death no entertainment, only news channel sir”. With all shops closed, movie halls closed and tv down I have nothing to do today.

And you might be asking what’s the point of writing all this? well ‘coz I am frustrated with all this events illogical and so called moral police of this city who are so jobless that they make anything out of nothing to get themselves in a position where they can harass people

Barca Vs Chelsea CL match(second leg)

Y’day I had to stay awake till 3 to watch one of those special CL matches which turned out to be bit disappointing. I thought Chelsea will go all out against barca but eventually barca will win the match…I was proven wrong in both occasion, match was draw and Chelsea attack didn’t have the edge over barcas defence
The Blues chances were limited, Didier Drogba heading tamely and Joe Cole flicking the ball just over, but they failed to sustain any real pressure. A Frank Lampard penalty in injury time came too late for Chelsea which I still think was not right. Barcelona protege Lionel Messi's first touch brought a sliding tackle from Ricardo Carvalho before Chelsea threatened with a Cole cross which was just too high for Drogba. The Catalan outfit then took a grip of the game and an audacious Ronaldinho flick put Messi through on goal, but his shot was blocked by a lunging Carvalho.
I still don’t understand why dorgba was in starting line up. I creates more offside than goal scoring chances.Barcelona suffered a setback when Messi went off with a hamstring injury after 24 minutes, with Henrik Larsson replacing him. And, while the home side had more of the possession, Chelsea maintained a threat with an Arjen Robben run-and-shot saved by keeper Victor Valdes.
Chelsea tried to exert some attacking urgency into the game with the introduction of Crespo, who should have scored after Samuel Eto'o had forced a smart save from Petr Cech at the other end. Crespo beat Carlos Puyol to Cole's near-post cross but shot agonisingly wide from close range.Chelsea could not be criticised for their attacking efforts but lacked the cutting edge to break Barcelona's resistance.
And then the god of these days football “Ronaldinho” struck a 78th-minute shot after riding a John Terry challenge and, even though Lampard scored a late penalty, it proved nothing more than a consolation goal.
The match failed to hit the heights of past encounters between the two teams and Jose Mourinho's reactions to some of the referee's decisions were highlights. What a boring match except ronaldinho’s back passes..they were simply amazing

BIRD FLU - is coming home

Came Across one email which i really liked..so posting it simply!!!!

BIRD FLU RACKETEERS
by Dr. Leo Rebello

In October 2005, I had sent an alert on Bird Flu Epidemic. In that I had written, "There are NO epidemics in normal times. More epidemics are created by vaccines and drugs" and gave detailed Holistic treatment for Flu.

Today (19 Feb) comes the flash news with a banner headline "Bird flu hits Maharashtra". Let us analyse the news, because rarely people can think straight when a SCARE is created, authorities are incapable of taking decisions in emergencies and journalists taking dictation from dumb authorities and dumber scientists have no time to think since they have to meet the deadlines.

1. The report says 36,000 birds died in Nawapur taluka of Maharashtra's Nandurbar district. Now compare that with the blaring headline meant to create worldwide panic. When will newspaper editors ( that guard the reader) be more responsible?

2. It further says that the Animal Disease Laboratory in Bhopal, where poultry samples were sent, confirmed eight birds were diagnosed with H5N1 virus.

3.. It further links 8 persons with mild fever and adds that 80 human blood samples had been sent for tests. Why blood samples from 80 were collected when 8 persons were suffering with mild and unconnected fever? Whose decision was that and what was the basis?

4.. Then, in the accompanying 12 articles / reports the editors of the newspapers cry hoarse as under :
(a) 8 lakh birds will be slaughtered in one week. Why? Like plague is caused by dead rats, will not birds (here meaning chickens) slaughtered create more problem?

(b) Number of birds to be vaccinated - 2 lakhs. How will the authorities vaccinate so many birds and why? Then someone will say, let us vaccinate birds in the neighbouring Maharashtra, then full Maharashtra and then all over India. For decisions are taken by keeping a firm eye on the kickback.

(c) Number of vaccines airlifted from Centre - 10 lakhs. Why had the Centre stocked so many vaccines and where? Are all these vaccines usable?

(d) Airlines to stop chicken dishes. Why this knee jerk decision? Instead what will they provide ? Cow, goat, pig and sheep? Red meat has more toxins.

(e) Cipla to market anti-flu drug from next week. To whom and why?
(f) India has enough Tamiflu stocks. When was this stock ordered? Was it preserved properly?
(g) The Union Health Ministry sounds nationwide alert and the PM orders the Health Ministry to have seven lakh doses of Tamiflu from pharma major Hetero Drugs to prepare for any impact on humans. When Bird Flu very rarely affect human beings, why seven lakh doses of Tamiflu? Whose decision is that?

Let us analyse each of these above statements and their further implications.
First and foremost Flu rarely affects human beings. So far, according to WHO website, only about 100 human beings have been affected by it since 2003. Out 100 how many died? Therefore, to slaughter 8 lakh birds because 8 birds died is really idiotic.

Likewise, to lift 10 lakh vaccines (for whom - for birds or for human beings?) is uncalled for. The report also says that 2 lakh birds have already been vaccinated. Infact, to consume flesh of these vaccinated birds would be more dangerous. What science is this and whose wisdom is at work? Whose pockets are being lined?

Tamiflu vaccines are available as injectable and nasal spray. Injectable vaccine will cause fever, bodyache, running cold among the recipient homo sapiens. Nasal spray will cause violent sneezing. So, has some one investigated, that the Bird Flu will not spread through sneezing because of these vaccines given indiscriminately? True science implicates that this serious hypothesis should be considered. If not considered, why not?

Has someone counted the direct and indirect costs of this false alarm and scare mongering? What will be the cost of 8 lakh+ slaughtered birds to the poultry farms, banks and insurance companies? How these birds will be disposed off? What would be the cost of the disposal?

What is the cost of airlifting Tamiflu vaccines from pharma major Hetero Drugs? What is the kickback to the person who has taken this decision, namely the Union Health Ministry? Who is going to watch over infected meat (due to vaccines) mutating that virus and entering human beings by eating these chickens?

Birds of various plumage have been with us for centuries. So, who is creating this scare? Has somebody investigated that by killing millions of birds indiscriminately we are not going to create a deadly locust attack and food shortage? What kind of leaders are sitting at the helm of affairs to take knee jerk decisions and skewing nation's and world's economy to benefit a few.

Like SARS, Ebola, Marburg, HIV/AIDS, Avian flu is a racket unleashed by the Drug Mafia to control the growing economies of the world. They strike to steal.

This is what I had written on 25th October, 2005, when someone from UK had asked me what to do in case
of Avian Flu Epidemic.
"Like SARS was a false alarm, this gang of mercenary medicine mafia is now creating this false alarm on Avian Flu. Don't panic, birds have been with us for centuries. Do NOT vaccinate them. Do NOT kill them in panic for like the dead rat creates plague, millions of dead of birds will create pandemic. Simply relax and do NOT fall a prey to this misleading propaganda. Above all, do NOT (repeat not) take Avian Flu shot, especially nasal spray. Because, then you will go on sneezing and spread the Avian Flu implanted in the shots by furious sneezing.

FOR FLU MY HOLISTIC TREATMENT IS:
(a) Drink lots of citric fruit juices and clear soups.
(b) No solid food for 3 days. Kanji may be taken, if absolutely necessary.
(c) Warm Neem water bath will give refreshing feeling, especially when there are chills.
(d) Lots of bed rest with windows open / no direct fan.
(e) Morning sun bathing (before 8.00 AM / not more than ten minutes, if possible).
(f) There are many homoeopathic medicines. I am giving only the main ones below :
Head remedy Arsenic Alb 30 -- 4 hourly.
Intercurrent remedy - Influenzinum 30 or 200 / 4 pills, 4 hourly - not more than 3 doses
For rapid prostration - Kali Phos 30 4 pills, 4 hourly. Stop once the patient feels better.
Pyrogenium 200 / 4 pills, 3 hourly if severe back and thigh pains, extreme chilliness, rapid pulse.
(g)The biochemic medicines are: Ferrum phos, Kali mur and Natrum sulph in 6 or 12 x potency 2 pills of each, 3 hourly.
(h) Ginger, cinnamon teas with honey and a dash of sour lime are good. Even mint tea will soothe.
(i) Fresh buttermilk, not refrigerated. Do NOT add sugar or salt. Similarly, one may take fresh coconut water.
Homoeopathic and biochemic medicines are easily available and treatment outlined above is very simple, safe and much cheaper as compared to the astronomical costs of flu vaccines and flu drugs. Will the Health Ministry listen or this is a deliberate game plan during budget session to get more funds allocated for Health

South Park

South Park follows the adventures of four little boys, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny. Unlike most TV children, these kids were actually a lot like real children.

This was the genius of the show, and a significant element of its ongoing appeal. Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny weren't cute, precocious, smart, well-behaved or even likable much of the time. They were foul-mouthed, cruel-to-their-peers, badly behaved delinquents who nevertheless had good hearts underneath it all (except Cartman).

Stan is Everyman, the most normal of the kids, terrorized by his sister Shelley and misunderstood by his parents.
Hi, my name is Stan Marsh. First I had better introduce you to my family. My parents are Randy and Sharon Marsh, and I have a big sister called Shelly who is a real pain in the pipe and a Grandpa who calls me Billy and wants me to kill him off. Then there is my Uncle Jimbo - I'm not sure if he is really related but that's what I call him - who runs the gunstore. He hangs out with an old buddy from 'Nam called Ned Gerblosky who plays the cancer kazoo. My best friends are Kyle Broflovsky and Kenny McCormick and we all hang out with that lardbutt Cartman. We go to South Park Elementary School where we are taught by Mr Garrison and Mr Hat (though sometimes it's Mr Twig). Other kids in the class include Pip, Craig, Tweek, Clyde, Butters, Bebe and Wendy Testaburger. Wendy and I sometimes share a quiet moment together out by Stark's Pond. I always feel a bit queasy when we are together though...

Kyle is a conscience-stricken Jewish boy with a lot of issues, stemming from his domineering mother.
Hi, My name is Kyle Broflovsky. My family is Jewish, which means that I get to have lots of special holidays on top of Christmas and Easter, and go to Jew Scouts where we make soap sculptures and macaroni pictures and eat carrot cake. My mom is called Sheila and my dad is called Jerry - he is a lawyer. I also have a little brother called Ike who looks like a football and is obviously Canadian. My best friends are Stan Marsh and Kenny McCormick and we go to school together with that buttwipe Cartman. The school is run by Principal Victoria and other members of staff include Mr Garrison (our class teacher who people say is gay) and Mr Mackey the school counsellor. The kids in my class are mostly OK apart from old lardbucket Cartman and this girl called Bebe who keeps giving me funny looksMy favourite TV show is Terrance and Phillip. My special friend, though, is Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo. with that buttwipe Cartman. The school is run by Principal Victoria and other members of staff include Mr Garrison (our class teacher who people say is gay) and Mr Mackey the school counsellor. The kids in my class are mostly OK apart from old lardbucket Cartman and this girl called Bebe who keeps giving me funny looks. My favourite TV show is Terrance and Phillip. My special friend, though, is Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo.

Eric Theodore Cartman, probably the most entertaining cartoon character ever made has a very detailed personality. Not only is he the master of disguises but also carefree and nonchalant at most times. He loves making fun of his friends especially Kyle, his Jewish friend. Least said Cartman appears to be racist and incensitive to other cultures and races. Carman is egocentric and thinks the world revolves around him; he quotes,"Screw you guys I'm going home!" whenever his are in trouble.
fat kid syndrome" but always puts it off saying he's big-boned. Cartman quotes, "I am a little American boy and I live in a little mountain town called South Park. My best friends are Clyde Frog and Rumpletunskin and Polly Pissypants and they sometimes all come around to my house for a Tea Party and tell me how smart and cool I am and how it must be so much nicer to be me than to be a pov like Kenny or a hippie like Stan or a fecalphiliac like Kyle. My favourite TV shows are Terrance and Phillip and Fat Abbot and the Cheesy Poofs commercial and cop shows and that dude who hunts down wild animals and jams his thumb in their bu@#h%@# and I like war movies and films about the wild wild west (but not that Gay Cowboys Eating Pudding hippie crap)."

Then there's Kenny. Kenny's parents are poor, and he himself eternally wears an orange jumpsuit that muffles every word coming out of his mouth. Oh yeah, and he dies. In every episode, Kenny dies, and the next week, he's back good as new (with a few notable exceptions). It's a ritual. Kenny meets horrific death week after week, prompting Stan to say, "Oh my God, they killed Kenny!" and Kyle to follow up with, "You bastards!" Despite how this reads in an article, it's actually insanely funny. My friend Rachit came down to my place last night to visit us and after time started telling us about his meeting with one girl in delhi. Basically he was totally excited about the meeting and kept telling us that girl was really beautiful and has changed so much and all…So the saint we are, we asked him like what all he did. He replied nothing jus two hour of meeting and general chit chatting. So we asked another saintly question that did you get to kiss her? He said no?? We said ok and did you get to hug he said no??? And yet again we said ok finally we asked did you get to shake hands with her. He said “nahin mera uske saath mera koyi affair thodi hi chal raha hai”
And we all were rolling on the floor with laughter as one guy commented “yaar haath milane ke liye affair chalana padta hai ye malum nahin tha hum sabko”

Holding too tightly!!

still writing!!

Welcome to Namma Bengaluru

“The name change will give it the feel of Kannada. Maharastra changed the name of Bombay to Mumbai, west Bengal changed Calcutta to Kolkata, Tamil Nadu changed madras to Chennai, and we are also doing to the same thing”. I read this in the newspaper today morning and couldn’t help swearing on the decision and imagining the resource it will take to get the job done.Oh yes bangalore will be "begangaluru" from november 1 2006:).After reading this immediately the image of the road which has been dug recently near my area came to my mind. Interesting thing is that there is one sign board which says BMTC work in progress. Trust me all I have seen in recent days is more digging. And so did many broken thoughts about the government making claims about developing Bangalore come to my mind.
Jus one question which comes to my mind always is that where is the logic in their comments, how jobless one can get that they are tussling to get the name changed of the city not to mention so many millions of rupees will go wasted in the process of changing the name to “Bengaluru” from Bangalore. I mean there are so much worked to be done in Bangalore to get the image of the city right that government will be busy round the clock but here they are changing the name of the city in the name of heritage and culture.

The funny part is that every question which has been raised regarding the problems about the infrastructure has been fended off by minister saying three standard comments
1: Bangalore international airport is coming up very soon(gods know when it will be completed)
2: flyover are built throw out the city(i know few flyovers which are not yet completed and work is going on for last 4 years)
3: we are working on this problem and will be solved very soon(minister have good sense of humour this statement confirms it).

Well you ask any question from water to electricity u will get the same answer again and again till you start memorizing this answer and stop asking the question simple.

One funny incident which I would like to tell is that yesterday while coming back home from “wonderla” I lost my way and entered on 100 m stretch of road where four wheeler where going. Two police men jumped in front of my bike from no where and asked this is no entry zone for two wheelers and auto and before I even said one word they continued telling me that there is one sign board some 50 m back so I need to pay fine.
Well I smiled took my wallet and gave him 100 buck and asked him jus one question “Sir if you know that bikes will enter in this road so why don’t you stand in the beginning of road and stop bikes from entering road, guess even you need to do new year shopping“he was speechless and the anger in his face was “priceless”.

Well again I don’t want to blame anyone here for this condition of my city and I wont be the one to start a revolution but I know the whole fault lies in fact that “there is no selfless deed in this world” (my personal opinion) and the degree of corruption varies according the level of society and country. We are developing country and the corruption shows that people are desperate to grow…hehehehe relax people I am just kidding in fact I still have the firm hope in this city and in this country but sometimes statement like this which I read in today newspaper shake’s my hope.:)

PURPLE HAZE:The Voice In Your Head!!!

I have noticed lately that once in a while on one of the Friday the voice inside my head starts chanting PH PH PH, Well to begin with on many Fridays post lunch office hours we friends start inundating each others mailbox asking each other about “the plan” for Friday evening. Few suggestions, few cribs, few new ideas all are well discussed through chain of mails. Its fun to watch my friends analysis for every word every mail, anyways so given the music taste of our group most of the time we don’t decide on anything but we all know within our self that when there is no way there is jus PH way. Yeah PH is acronym for Purple Haze the greatest single pub to influence our group’s life on Friday in Bangalore. You have to be here to understand the meaning of these words

Well there is a history with purple haze. Any guest who comes to Bangalore or US or from any where else(this time it was KL from South Korea)…Friday or Saturday night we go there only and take this guest with us. its like purple haze understand ours needs for booze and music. Mostly we order one round of beer and then straight away start ordering whisky will soda and ice clubbed with French fries, sandwiches and peanuts masala. At this point of time I would also like to mention that we have evolved our self in PH drink wise.. There was a time when a mere thought vodka and lime cordial on the shadow of ear piercing hard rock music use to hypnotize us and we used land up at PH. Now its the thought of whisky and the PH. And also I have seen initially there were people who used to jus head bang and now those people sing the song along and head bang.

So last night we were there and we had a gala time. My friend Diode was totally out and so were many people. I somehow escaped for a change, somehow managed to keep myself in my senses. Then we had one friend nicknamed “horny” (cant remember his real name) who came from Hyderabad I don’t know the issues in his life that well. But he jus kept on doing bottoms up mug after mug. On average we all had 4 large whisky and were “HAPPY”. Head banged a lot my on every song be it metallica, audioslave , ac/dc or linkin park…My neck it still aching. In the final moments the whole table area turned into mayhem. Diode climbing up in the table and head banging. Ok the special thing about the last night was the number of glass and bottles we broke. I cant remember us breaking so many of them in past. And the best part we use to hug each other for out mistakes. Anyways I jus wanted to blog this incident so that some time in future I can read this and remember this night and smile a bit:)

Exhilaration of Running!!

I ran for some 7 kms today at gym, and I am totally exhausted yet feeling fresh. Why I did run this hard, well I was not keeping well for last four days or so. so I said enough is enough I need to get out and do some exercise!! I have no words to describe the feeling I get after running a few good kms on treadmill or maybe after playing football or something else which involves running!!! I read one article sometime back with a title of "Joy of Running"
It made me think that I do experience a lot of other sensations, from mild discomfort to extreme agony, but joy? No way. In fact, the only time I really feel good is when I stop running. Hence the joy is of NOT running not feeling the pain. From the bottoms of my aching feet to the crown of my throbbing head, with in-between stops at my agonizing ankles, excruciating knees and burning lungs, running is one of the most complete pain experiences known to me 'coz thats the way I run. Of course, you could say the same about hitting myself over my head with a wooden mallet. That too would feel good when one stops.hahahaha In principle that is true, as both involve the end of pain, but the pain of hitting my head with a mallet cannot be compared with the pain of running. The former involves only localized discomfort, while the latter transmits pain throughout your entire body and comfort to my soul.
When I run too fast for too long I start concentrating on other things jus to deviate myself from the feeling of exhaustion I get while running. And most of the time I think plan my day think of song or any recent events. Most of my days work get planned over tread mill. So I get more pain than I gain but yet I continue to run!!! And somehow I love running. Why? you ask. Good question. I’m not really sure myself, but I know that when I don’t I get these nagging feelings of caused by long painful run I somehow miss something in my life!! or maybe the gain which I get is invaluable to me.Also running is good for health and blah blah blah.

Water Rugby@Godav!!!

As many you know I love playing games anything goes fine with me. The one which I already know, I try to master it and the one which I don’t know I try to learn it simple funda!!! But here in particular I would like to mention one unique which only we Godavites know to play and also it was started with my batch and ended with my batch I guess. Anyways to start with it was our first semester in college and I remember clearly that Chennai was receiving heavy rain. One fine rainy day I was back to hostel from workshop class while still I was raining that time. I saw few unknown junta were playing football in quadrangle but few known fresher faces were going out from the back of our hostel with full enthusiasm along with 4th year seniors. It was the ragging season too for us!! By the way behind our hostel and facing saraswasthi hostel we had a small lush green field called SANGAM. It is used for hosting inter hostel 9-a side cricket, 6-a hockey and 6-a side football tournaments.

Anyways I rushed back to room changed to sports gear and went to sangam. All this I did to kill the curiosity. But there I confronted by one of my seniors and he ask me to follow him. And I saw the whole sangam was submerged with knee deep muddy water and my fellow hostel mates were playing and falling into it while it was still raining heavily. Finally people got serious and we were told that we are going to play RUBGY and we will call it water rugby for the obvious reason. And apparently it was all done ‘coz our 4th year senior were getting bored of staying inside due to rain for so many days. Some of first year student protested that we don’t know to play rugby. So quickly we were told some basic rules and then were given orders that “you need not worry about the rules, jus pray to god and stand in front of the guy from the opponent and then close your eyes at the moment of collision”. Rest you learn while playing. In case of injuries we have one good hospital to take care of it.
So the game started and so was fun. We kept running and tossing the ball and catching the ball. Some of us who had seen rugby in TV tried to remember all the fundeas. With time rules also were refined. But more of less it was like catch the guy with his t-shirt tear his t-shirt. So we water rugby for one hour or so. It was so much fun. I remember one of my senior nicknamed “bull” was running with the ball. And when we collided I almost booked free ticket to hell. But still falling one the knee deep water and also get wet by rain water was refreshing and the whole game turned out be a thriller. And we had so much fun that day we got addicted to it from the day one. There came a time when it used to rain and we use to keep the track of water level in sangam. And whenever we got chance we used to announce on the PA “junta interested in playing rugby at sangam, land up there in 5 mins” and we every new game we used to have new comers…and so the game become popular and more competitive too.

But every time when sangam used to get dry, our deep footprint on the soft ground left ground uneven.
Remember this is the ground where so many tournaments were held. So our college gymkhana had to cough 8K for relaying it and second time it happened they issued notice and stamped 4k fine to sarawasthi hostel. So it was even more satisfying that our rival hostel pays for doing nothing. So it also become a tradition that every time sangam used to dry up we used to get notice that severe action will be taken against culprits from next time. And we the fellow participants used to pride that we took the case of the gymkhana and the dean students.

Anyways with every year passed we become more and more skilled and as senior we used to drag our juniors and tradition went on and on for four years. And good things were even though our hostel became infamous for this game no other hostel junta ever dared to play this and this water rugby kind of became our hostel sports at least to me. Now it is raining like anything Bangalore and surely I miss the game which I loved most in my college days. Of course football is still there in my mind.
Ah damn I miss water rugby!!!

Thinking Too Much!!!

I read one article in one of the newspapers and it really made me think, after while I thought over it again. And then I thought why the hell I am thinking so much these days about anything everything. Yes thinking is one thing which I am doing awfully a lot these days!!! I am getting lazier day by day no doubt about and these trains of thoughts which run into my minds are acting as catalyst to this laziness. And these days I am often wondering what next. What life has got for me in the future? Well it sounds weird for person like to think like this.
Even my dreams are getting weird. I remember that I slept with fan off but sometime during the night my roommate switched on fan and I must have really cold, so cold that I started dreaming about me sleeping one ice slabs that too in Iceland!! Give up!!! Well then after all it’s a dream.
Anyways all I can think of now is my future, and my future adventures. The responsibility for my life and my world around me is indeed mine...I dream my own dreams and I form my own physical reality. The world is around me is the physical materialization of the inner self which I have formed. And what I have formed recently is a liking for someone but there is limit in my liking. We are all unlimited spirits facing some limits and the limits in this case is also imposed with the very fact of fear various practical issues which again came my mind while thinking about it. Damn see that’s why I am cribbing so much about my thinking… But I am happy to feel that my liking in this case is unconditional unlike my many others. I feel so because beyond myself there is another self and still another, of which I am aware. And that self tells me that my liking for this person is unconditional. Phew!!! I want to write so many things which eventually I will write within few days but I guess its time for me sleep.

HAPPY DIWALI

Happy Diwali Everyone

Straight from the Heart!!!

This week the highlight of life was my interaction with my companys HR people.I work in a company where everyone knows or seems to know everything except me:( yeah you guessed it, its a small company which behaves like a modern joint family. One gets all the freedom to work or not to work. But lately I was getting big time bored with my routine like goto gym, goto office, work and come from back then try to make your evening happening. But in office I will get mild fever if I someday try/wanna stay after six!!! So I thought enough is enough someday somebody has to do something for me since I unlike others don't know everyone everything, so once fine day I decided to pass one sarcastic comments to my HR personal straight from the heart. and a message popped up in window which made me rub my eyes since I was unable to believe it.I saw a new life and energy filled inside that till I am here in this company I can do something my nice hours spent everyday five days a week in company!!
Wow what a great HR department I have, they rock!!!!
But in general Some human resources (HR) departments (sometimes called personnel or a current new name) really add value to a company. Some don't. That's no surprise. But what sets apart the good ones from the bad ones? Here's one way of looking at it.Some human resource departments have maintained an old command and control mentality, where they see their jobs as making sure managers and employees are doing what they are s'posed to. Is everyone on time? Why not? What about sick leave? Are all the rules being followed? It's not that these departments are misguided, because some rules, ARE important and need to be handled centrally by a company. Problems arise, however, when the HR departments forgets that it's purpose is to find the needs of the company, the managers and the employees, to help THEM get the work done and life moving in office hours.
What sets apart good HR departments from bad is that the bad ones lose their service orientation, and forget that if they don't help others get their jobs done, they won't get cooperation from those they should be helping. The good ones recognize that while they are obligated to do some regulation of some processes, that they can play important leadership roles in the organization. And that does NOT mean dictating but balancing off the needs of the organization with the needs of the managers and employees.A personal interaction with employees help a lot in achieving the goal!!!
What would this look like? Let's take an example: performance appraisal. No my appraisal is later so relax junta!!! Yeah so I was saying Poor HR departments go about performance appraisal this way. They devise a set of rules and forms on their own, then go forth (if they have executive support) and TELL managers and employees what they SHALL do. They tend not to consult, or if they consult just forget to listen to the people who have to use these sometimes monstrous procedures. What happens is that since HR tends to be somewhat distant from the users of the system, the process misses. Managers and employees see the process as another hoop to jump through, and stall, or avoid doing what they are supposed to.
The good HR department goes about it differently. While they recognize that performance appraisal needs to be, in some respects, a central organization process, they also recognize that if the process isn't responsive to at least some needs of managers and employees, it will never succeed. So rather than dictating the procedures, the smart HR folks create (in consultation with both managers and employees), a skeleton outline of the process. This skeleton outlines the basic components, but leave the details to the managers. So rather than telling managers they much use the twelve page form provided, they simply say that managers must document the performance discussions, and forward them to HR at least annually. See the difference?
Well but in the end all this is crap personally I am happy to have a hope of getting things like a discussion forum, recreation room, tt table , comics and magazine. I have already started day dreaming for forming a football team and beating my friends company. ah time to rub my eyes again!!!! And junta speak/crib to HR people they are nice people who can make your life easy in office!!!

With or Without You!!!

See the stone set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I wait for you

Sleight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails she makes me wait
And I wait without you

With or without you
With or without you

Through the storm we reach the shore
You give it all but I want more
And I'm waiting for you

With or without you
With or without you
I can't live
With or without you…………………..contd

U2 sang this song long back but I heard this song somewhere few years back. I fell in love with this song and so did my friends.
I still remember I and my friend diode used to hang a lot in purple haze, there we used to get really high, during the last half an hour DJ used to play with or without you and man we used to get totally emotional about this song.
Also once I treated my friends in le meridian and there I was with this beautiful lady enjoying my dinner over the background of live music. Well I was thinking of something after seeing her for a while and suddenly out of nowhere with or without you tune started in my mind. So I walked to that guy and asked him to sing this song and dedicate it to her. And later on to my bad luck I went through the phase with this lady where I could easily relat this song to my feelings.
But month passed by and still this song remains close to my heart. Always thought what a song but never thought what I really think about the meaning of this song and then y’day I played this song over my guitar and suddenly it occurred to me to ponder over the meaning of this song sung by U2.
Can one be so consumed by the love for a person that every moment he is with her is not enough and he just loves her so incredibly much...So u want to spend all the time with her but still it’s not enough and also being away from her is unbearable as well. The message is fairly simple the hopelessness of one’s situation is depicted with the great contradictions. You give it all, but I want more. Nothing to win, nothing left to lose. So problem is that being with her is too hard to bear because he wants her so much, and being away from her is too much for the same reason. On a bed of nails she makes me wait. You give it all but i want more. He is showing his mixed feelings. He is angry that she is letting him stay in this situation, yet he knows that she is doing all she can. Well if agree with me one the above then here’s with or without you for you.

All this above meaning are my perception and I guess many people also think on the same line but I have read somewhere that Bono said in an interview that the song is about his battle to overcome drug addiction and how he felt he betrayed God in doing so.

Religion: My Alter Ego vs Me!!!

Well as many of you know I am an agnostic and being a convent educated surely like my friends even I have tried to understand christianity too!!! I was bit optimistic since chirstinaity is widely followed all over the world!!! But in the end it also confused me like other religions.I dont consider Hinduism any more a religion,I take it as way to live our life.My following writing are something which I have read it here and there and thought in bits and pieces and also I dont intend to offend anyone yet want to share my thoughts and philosophy with you all.

As you all know many 'westerners', possibly a majority of them, believe in certain form of Chirstianity. They depend, of course, on their God's infinte benevolence for eternal solution. They also rely on its infinte power so that the pray for happiness and they aslo count on its infinite knowledge to show them the way. Of course, many thiests and atheist are still waiting for the logical proof of this God's existence(one that can actually survive an argument), nonetheless, even if its existence were proven, Christian thoelogians would still have problems such as the Problem of evil. Before delving into explanations of this problem, it must be understood that this is mainly a Christian problem, Judaism does have somewhat of a similar problem but with a stronger solution.

Indeed, the Christian God is omnipotent, omniscient and infinitely benevolent(all at once); thus who can be reponsible for Evil? How is it not stopped before it can even strike? Does God (the Christian one) allow it to happen? These questions are respesctively answered as such: since God is all powerful. He could instantly override any evildoer, human or superhuman; since He is all-knowing, He couls know beforehand(or at least at the same time) of any Evil happening and could stop it before (or while) it starts; since He is all good, He would immediately want to correct any mishappening before it takes place, or as it gets ready to do so.

There remains but one objection; why does Evil still take place? Indeed it would be understandble if God was not quite powerful enough to right certain wrongs although He had both the knowledge and the intention to do so. Likewise, If He had infinite power and kindness, but His knowledge were restricted, this problem wouldn't be. It would be the same if He were all powerful and all knowing, but not all good. Nonetheless He is said to have all of there attributes. Judaism has managed to avoid this problem by making it understood that their God, at times, may be lacking in one of this attributes. Christian theologians have made many frivolous atempts to solve this porblem, it may be useful to sample some major ones in order to understand what the Problem of Evil entails. The most immediate answer would be that Satan did it; this cannot be:God, by definition, outwits him and overpowers him. It has also been argued that God allows evil to happen during our 'finite' life since our "infinite" life will be infinitely blissful, this would to severely question God's benevolence, or intelligence (even we can conceive of something better). Some think that justice is being done, which does not explain why a pregnant women, her eight month old foetus and her newborn child would die in car accident;surely the mother could have deserved it but not the children (transmigration may play a role, but I sincerely doubt that it applies to any form of Christianity). Others agrue that God ensures that the world is always the best of all possible ones, I could probably, relatively effortlessly conceive of one where rapist do not exist(for example).

The Problem of Evil is also related to issue of "free-will". Indeed,if the girl was born without a nose, therefore she cannot be 'paying' for a past wrongdoing and if she is 'paying' for her father's sin, God's justice isn't even as good as the present legal system; this is causing her so much grief that she is seriously considering suicide: does she have "free-will"? Let us consider this woman holding two babies in her arms of offered to lift one of three boxes, in which a million-dollar bail bond is set, let us also suppose that without notifying her, the remaining boxes are filled with enough dynamite to destroy the city she is in; her "free-will" is now non-existant, for she would never accept the offer if she know what the conditions are. Many believe that evil originated with Adam's eating the apple was knowlegde, meaning that he didn't have the any knowledge, particularly not of the difference between right and wrong, before the original sin. One could easily argue that Adam had no idea of what he was doing and that God is quite an avid punisher.

Whats With This KufiyaPanti!!!

The birthday boy caught inside the "BAR"

Well as you can see in the above its someone's birthday. and what a birthday it was, to start with we gave him bumps to an extent when our foot started paining and then after this kufiya guy’s A** getting red hot, he tells that "MAZAA NAHIN AAYA". Oh Boy it hurt our ego like anything and we had to start all over again giving him bumps till he said "I had enough" .Another bizarre incident happened was instead of singing happy birthday song we all sang jana gana mana (our national anthem) I don’t know how it started but it was very funny with we all trying to control our laughter and singing.
And finally as the tradition goes by in our group of playing holi with cake on birthday parties, oops again deviation from the tradition we didn’t played any such holi.
See now u know why I called this birthday party as “kufiya” aka ajay agrawal

One more thing happened that night..Baba Ojos was totally enthusiastic about the cake and beer. So as soon as we got beer he put them all inside ice chamber of our refrigerator to get the cooling effect fast. But then Baba Ojos forgot to take them out and alas all the beer can were frozen to ice by midnight. Still junta needed beer badly so finally we warmed the frozen beer and got them melted by heating them up. Please don’t try this at our home as it was done by highly skilled boozers and they knew at what exact temperature can might burst!!! Anyways it was good to see beer cans in hot water for a change and thanks to Baba Ojos and Kufiya insaan for giving us a memorable night!!!
Cheers!!!

Happy Birthday Dunna!!!

Today is one of my best friend's birthday and so it makes me wanna write about him and only him.I still remember in our first sem Piyush was nick named "Dunna Tunna" which later took its own of course modification by our gulti seniors and finally Dunna arrived. Well to start with Dunna a.k.a Piyush Shrivastava is 6'2" tall weighs 95 kgs likes him to be compared only with amitabh bacchan & sleeping beauty of large python which he optimally uses for occupying random spaces left in jam packed places.(His snap proves that!!!)

This extra-terrestrial species (definitely not homo-sapiens, very close to camel, ostrich) goes well by Darwin's law. He is evolving day by day, losing his hair daily, gaining 2 kgs per year & his neck becoming longer by .5 cm per year. Dunna follows a strict weekly routine.Eats 8 times a week, takes bath Sat to Sat (Back in IIT days in one semester he decided to take bath thrice a week, due to which IIT decided to close early because of water problem created by his decision), still manages to keep himself in good figure (42-38-42) by laughing a lot where he holds a record of laughing for 8 mins on a trot. He also savours all those natural pleasures by keeping wildly unpopular Hindi erotic books under his bed and I guess he still does in US.

During his stay in iit he has also made few HOMOsapiens friend like diode, soni, jhun. He has his own views about girls like they don't have brains, meant to wash clothes, cook and raise children. His bike hold a record for the number of girls sat on it, but ironically he never drove his own bike with a girl, his friends always did. This Boston resident is currently living a king size life at the expense of his fat oracle salary. His is a tech - wizard who cracked almost every girl's email password of his branch in our college.India definitely miss his giant body who donated blood in incredible amount to all those needy persons and this helpful soul who is always on toes for helping his friends.

Currently I am told by him that he is willing to marry any girl since he has given up the "GREAT FIGHT" for getting a girlfriend. I wish all the luch he needs to get married in coming year and also many happy returns of the day man. even though i know u will kill me after what i have for you here!!!!

Getting knighted Mr Ravana!!!

I never understood the meaning of my friends quote "I gotto work this weekend”. Since I use to look at him with big question mark on my face, and then he used to say "Your number will come soon dude". And my day came today, today is holiday but I went to office for jus 3 hrs to check in few files. That three hour made me realize why my friend was so lifeless while telling me that he has to work on weekend. To start with as soon as I entered office my throat went dry and eyes popped due to the shock of seeing jus one or two people. When I started working even my P4 512 MB ram configured PC seemed to me slower than my school days P1 machine. Well I am kind of guy who loves to work during office hours but gets mild fever if I have to stay late after 7 pm on working days. Weekends are always meant to have fun, no work. Finally to my rescue on my teammate also walked inside the premises. I felt a great sense of relief and asked him so what’s up. He told me that today he is going to see “Ravana” effigy burned as today is Dussehra.
My heart sank to abysmal depth hearing these and trains of thought once again started running. I started thinking things like why we have to really burn Ravana after all he was not all that bad. I don’t hate the character called Ravana ‘coz without him there is no Ramayana. And now it makes me wonder about myself that how evil am I? I admire Hitler for his orating power though loath his deeds and actions. I read “Mein Kempf” and didn’t get bored of it. But I believe that history makes heroes of only those who win war. You loose the war and you are the villain. You must be saying what bullshit, well then I must say it really makes sense since history is written for winners or by winners only, and these winners are portrayed as heroes, looser are bound to become the bad people. Well to prove the double standard followed by soulless people here is a question “Why is that people show reverence to Gandhi and on the other hand worship Ram ‘coz on one side Gandhi refused to use weapons against Britain and Ram fought the war against Ravana” Contradiction isn’t it. But then Ayn Rand quoted something like Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think that you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong.
I don’t know which premises is wrong the Gandhi or the Ram but I think it’s depends from person to person.

Anyways what I am trying to say here is that why do we really have to hate the villain or bad guy. In personal terms I don’t care about heroes or villain or neither have I looked for any examples to lead my life!! I think my instinct and soul is good enough to guide me. But generally speaking I think people should think about the good things of both heroes and villains since chances are we will also loose some kind fight/struggle some time and we will the villains.
Aha huh too rude huh!!!! Imagine if Ravana would have won the war.

One Fine Day!!!

There is my Bengali colleague who believes the solution to problem of every man’s life is marriage i.e. the end of all problems. In fact when I started writing blog he thought I was a troubled creature with all sorts of problem in my life. So he was the first one to comment and what a comment it was “Get married Dude”. Wow I was petrified for a moment. I don’t know made him write or what he thinks exactly about marriage but my guess is that he believes that there is no man’s individual life after marriage, so no life, no problem in life. You know what I would like to write my roommate opinion about the marriage after few months when he will be the “man with experience” my friends. Well whatever be the case this Bengali friend is surely is rocking these days... I was wondering if anyone of you know how to loose weight jus by eating and more eating. And that’s all. Well then take my free expertise from this Bengali friend.
Talking about loosing weight there are people in my gym who will do few crunch or few sit ups for some meager 10 seconds or so and then they inspect rather admire their figure for minutes from all the angles feeling them everywhere. And this goes on and on after every set of exercise well surely they are one the right track for loosing weight I guess. And today morning I saw four ladies running on treadmill (common guys at least they were trying to run ok) and they were all wearing same pink track. The whole scene went inside my head like PINK, PINK, PINK echoing. Well for a moment my trains of thought ran and two things flashed in my mind. First was surely these ladies shopped together and bought this pink track on some super sale like buy one get one free. And second thought was who the hell associated pink with girls in the name of womankind or in the name of history. I mean the only man who I know wore pink color dress was ROSS GELLAR from friends. Why it’s a taboo in men’s world. Why it such a dare for a guy to wear pink t-shirt? Well while I was trying to reason out myself with all the logical deduction my instructor came and asked to continue my workout distracting me totally. Well I turned around I surely saw one person admiring himself in the mirror and feeling himself all over. I was smiling to glory but then it was time to remember my friends comment about me few days back and pump few more irons.

The Night It Rained And We Danced To Dandiya Beats!!!

Its all about the night it rained in bangalore but in personal terms was flooding my heart with evils verses against the weather since it was a night of "golden opportunity" for me as quoted by my friend. But then all settled when finally I and my friend decided to go to dandiya taking a brave front against rain and traffic. We decided to goto "The Place" called Majestic, and I promised myself to explore the possibilities and all which comes but to my surprise I met one pretty girl through my friend and really didnt/couldnt take off my attention from her whole night. So with that all exploration came to sudden halt for the whole night. But hell we are discussing dandiya here not my exploration.

To start with I would make a impressive statement gone are the days when these festival was a family or a community affair in which a group of ladies sang the garba and group of guys flirted with them and danced around a picture of the goddess Durga.Yeah you are allowed to flirt a bit in the name of tradition and its cool. But in a city where fun part has held sway lately there is a population of likeminded people who are hell bent on stemming the rot and preserving the cultural heritage dandiya in the name of fun .Ideally, two circles formed by men and women move in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions with two sticks called dandiyas held in their hands. This playful dance provides ample opportunity for acting and exchanging messages through eye contact. Hates off to Dandiya And Garba Dances.

Ok now with the information about Dandiya and Garba I can move forward in personal terms. So We gotto "Majestic" and parked our car and got into the venue where once again I had to digest the fact that I am the guy deprived of privilages jus 'coz I am guy damn. Guys were charged 150 bucks and Girls 50 bucks. Those who can apply logic and explain me the reason be my guest!!

So finally getting all drenched and all I met the "ORACLE GROUP" of guys and pretty ladies. It was really nice knowing these chirpy and colorful group but it was more heart warming to see my tradition and cultural and to see so many unknown faces with cool gujju dresses. Hey even we had one guy with chunri and girl in blue dress in our group dressed up for the night. And Also I came across a confident ever smiling "bacchi" with cool height and model like figure only to find out in the end that she is working with my friend.

But in the night of chaos nobody followed the rules and to add to our fear factor the live music was pathetic. Infact when I was excited about getting in front of speaker, they played the saddest music I heard in recent months and I dedicated it to my friend which made me happy to an extent. So after jostling with unknown faces we decided to part away from the mainstream and have fun within ourself.

Their was this guy from "ORACLE GROUP" who was confusing everyone with his geometric configuration for dance and everyone was having get confused. Sure we had fun but I wonder. And then the pretty lady finally realized what was happening and surely it must have awakened her sense and memory that even she has studied geometry in school. So even she applied her brains to the geometric configuration for dance formation, and carrying the aura of "Gaddha Dhaari Bheem" ordered us to stand like that and there...which added to the more confusion. But I was standing alone jus left amused and gaping to the beauty of.....ahem ahem
But all settled we were finally set to have a blast with dandiya. And yes we did have fun since then it was more fun getting added every minute. We danced like anything sometimes like tribal of Africa, sometimes like the aborigines of Gujarat and more importantly didnt gave the damn to the others. By the end in fact I learnt few dance steps too which will come handy in future

Finally It was time to save all these sweet memories and leave the place with my friend getting little slimmer and trimmer. I won't forget this dandiya night since I know I won’t be able to repeat it with my friend and with the rain and with the confusion ever.

Now surely I have given you enough reason to dance the night away and do all the raas lila:)

Still Thinking Why Am I here!!!

Well isn't this fun my first day a blogspace and my mind is comfortably numb!!
